Youth & Family Programming

LLE specializes in innovative youth programming that taps into the power of meeting  students in their own communities. We meet kids wherever they are and offer hands on creative activities that are grounded in nature —

- Gaia’s Guides is a program that teaches students about agriculture and encourages  them to have a personal relationship with our Earth. Lessons incorporate  characters as a means to introduce youth to environmental concepts as  anthropomorphized and relatable beings.

- Seed to Salad is a six week program for Pre-K and kindergarten students that  culminates with a Harvest Celebration where students get to enjoy the full salad  that they’ve worked to grow from scratch. Each week, students learn to grow  different elements of a salad, from lettuce and herbs to fruits and other veggies.

- Farm Fit is a five or ten weeks program that focuses on teaching families how to  grow meals together. Under the tutelage of Lauren Little, families will plant and  grow food in community gardens or using their own land.

Curriculum Design

In addition to its core curriculum, Lauren Little Edutainment creates custom  curriculum to suit the educational goals & needs of organizations, schools &  communities.

Outdoor Classroom Design

Lauren Little Edutainment designs and builds custom garden beds, farm plots, edible landscapes and other outdoor teaching spaces for groups of all ages.

Expansion Programming & Activity Kits

Facilitator Training

In addition to our Core Programs, LLE also offers additional programming to build  upon skills & knowledge. Examples include Maple Tree Magic, Winter Farming, Animal  Agriculture, Bird Watching, The Ladies’ Lounge and others.  LLE Activity Kits provide the materials & curriculum guide needed for small groups to  engage independently without a LLE facilitator in a classroom setting.

LLE offers limited, specialized training and hands-on apprenticeships that introduces  participants to the building blocks of urban farming. Participants can expect early  mornings, hot days and lots of laughter with Lauren Little as they learn the rewarding  yet labor intensive craft of farming.
